They’re readers and also like to watch YT quite a bit so I’m curious if anybody has any good suggestions on YT channels and/or books I can send them that’ll help ease them to the left. Even better if there are books and videos that specialize in converting Republicans to the left

Strangely enough:
Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan.
He gives trumpers a chance to speak, and it’s not immediately obvious that he’s fucking with them like when Klepper does it on the daily show.
But by letting them talk and try to deliver their points, it’s not hard to realize there’s zero logical consistency.
It won’t work right away, but it’s something they’ll likely watch and eventually start realizing it’s bullshit
I’d recommend More Perfect Union.

And maybe Hayek’s Road to Serfdom, he defines socialism as totalitarianism regardless of left/right. I have my criticisms about Hayek and neoliberalism, but it is effective comparing far right to communism, especially for old conservatives.

while this is great, understand that they can still be right leaning (its the far right that wants the white christian nation state, you still need people who want wise spending, and not want to rush to the new thing), Dont make your end goal they have to be left, but that they need to wake up from the programming.
