I hope she gets to live a fun owl life! She seems to be in a much more rural area than Flaco was for us over here.
We talked a bit about this owl yesterday and I went over some things about why some folks are working on getting this owl’s name changed since the Verreaux family weren’t the best to people or wildlife, and also about some of the good the place she got out of was trying to do with her and some other exotic animals to try and preserve them for the future. They will likely miss her greatly, but they seem to think she will do ok here on her own.
I hope those feathers can keep her warm, as it looks a good bit chillier than in South Africa.
