‘I’ve waited for this movie my whole life’: Guardian readers’ best films of 2025

For those who don’t want to read the article, apparently the author was “waiting their whole life” for yet another Frankenstein movie.

A House of Dynamite, really? The first 1/3 of the movie maybe. Poor execution of the multiple POV style. Vantage Point did it well because they showed things that the viewer previously did not see from the other characters’ perspective that moved the plot forward. AHoD had all characters in the same conference call, so you’re just watching the same dialogue again, just with some extra details in the different POVs. And those extra details aren’t even good enough to sustain hearing the dialogue over and over again until the end of the film.
